Planning and Management Solution Center

Our Planning and Management Solution Center helps you comprehensively plan and manage your wealth over time. The Solution Center is comprised of models to support the three stages of wealth management: 1) long-range planning, 2) investment management set up and 3) ongoing investment management.

In the planning stage, you will create a retirement plan so that your short-term investment decisions can be aligned with your long-term goals. Creating a plan using our retirement planner allows you to account for the details in your plan and examine the impacts of changing variables such as retirement age, contributions, etc. We also offer a simulation feature within our retirement planner that shows you how your plan performs under different market scenarios.

We recommend updating your long-range plan annually.

In the set up stage, we’ll ask you to choose a strategy / model portfolio to follow that is either based on the results of the planning stage or based on our portfolio selection guidelines table. We will then help you set up a rebalancing policy suited to your unique tax and trading fee situation so that you avoid unnecessary investment costs. In this stage, we’ll help you estimate tax and trading costs associated with different rebalancing options. You will then select a policy that will determine rebalancing guidelines used in the investment management stage.

We’ve broken the ongoing portfolio management stage into two steps. In step one, you tell us how much wealth you have invested in the 11 asset classes used in our model. Then we'll show you how your wealth is balanced relative to the model portfolio. In step two, if your portfolio is out balance, we’ll recommend cost-minimizing trades to balance it.

We recommend managing your account on a monthly basis to ensure that your portfolio stays efficient at all times.
